What we collect

• Your email address (sign-in) and one-time codes.
• Attendee name, email and affiliation; plan, attendance mode and extra meal packages; optional Indico abstract ID and title.
• Proof of student status (student rates only): a copy of a student ID or enrolment certificate.
• Optional business invoice details: Taiwan Unified Business Number and company or institution name.
• Payment results from NewebPay: order and transaction numbers, amount, payment time, card brand and last four digits. We never receive your full card number.
• Taiwan e-invoice data (invoice number, date, random code) from our e-invoice provider.

How we use it

• To process your registration and payment and issue receipts and invoices.
• To check eligibility for student rates.
• To link registrations to accepted papers in Indico (https://iwcn2027.nycu.site).
• To contact you about your registration and the conference.
• To comply with Taiwan tax and accounting law.

Who we share it with

• The IWCN 2027 Organizing Committee (National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University) for conference organisation.
• NewebPay (藍新金流), our payment processor.
• Amego (光貿科技), our Taiwan e-invoice provider, and the Ministry of Finance e-invoice platform.
• Supabase and Vercel, which host this website and its database.

Retention

• Student documents are deleted after the conference. They are stored in a private bucket and are used only to check eligibility.
• Order, payment and invoice records are kept for the period required by Taiwan tax law (generally 5-10 years).
• Sign-in codes expire within minutes.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data (subject to legal retention duties) by emailing iwcn2027@iwcn.nycu.site. This website uses only strictly necessary cookies (sign-in session). Visit statistics are collected with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies.

International transfers

Data may be stored on servers outside your country (for example in Singapore or the United States) by the hosting providers listed above, under their standard security terms.
